My name is Jolanta. I am an active young woman in my community, who wants to improve a forgotten corner with my willpower and hard work. I am a nature lover, so I like to pay attention to natural objects that need a fresh start. A year ago, with a group of like-minded people, we set up a rest stop in Viksna. It was our first site and the feeling was great! And I realised that more could be done.
I joined the Open City project because I want to add to the team with my ideas, to realise a beautiful goal with my work and to show others that together we can do much more than we imagine. I have experience in writing and implementing projects. I have also gained experience and ideas from abroad through Erasmus+ exchange projects.
If I have to praise myself, I would definitely like to mention my solo exhibition "Grandfather". It was two years of work that allowed me to answer many questions and to tell others how important the senior citizen is nowadays. I am also involved in the Latvian Red Cross Balvi youth section.
